Information for job market newcomers

The most common forms of employment can be broken down as follows:

Work based on a job contract with a business licence or as a  new freelance worker is also possible.

These rules apply to all citizens and traders from EU Member States in Austria.

These distinctions bring with them different rights and obligations for the contracting parties.

The description of the employment relationship in the contract is essentially of little significance in terms of legal qualification. The decisive factor in each individual case is how the contractual relationship is actually structured and how the terms of the contract are handled between the contracting parties.
