Waste treatment plants – Change of holder (operator)

General information

The competent authority must be notified of the change of the holder (operator) of a stationary or mobile waste treatment plant by the new holder (operator) of the plant. The notification must be countersigned by the former holder (operator) of the waste treatment plant.

Please note

The change of the holder (operator) of a plant does not affect the effectiveness of the permit. The new owner (operator) must comply with the permit.

Caution

The necessary transfer of the master data of the respective waste treatment facility to the master data of the new holder (operator) on edm.gv.at ( BMK)German text does not replace this notification to the competent authority.

Enterprises, where a change of the holder (operator) of a stationary or mobile waste treatment plant takes place

Deadlines

The change must be immediately notified.

Competent authority

The waste management authority as the competent facility management authority

  • As authority in charge of the facility: the Provincial GovernorGerman text and, if applicable, as authority in charge of the facility, the district administrative authority

Procedure

There is no special procedure to be followed.

Costs and fees

The costs depend on the various ordinances on levies and fees. It is recommendable to gather beforehand information from the competent authority.
